Tawny Hoemke is a Resource Assistant at the Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District (RCRCD). She started as an intern in 2014, then became a resource assistant in 2015. Tawny primarily works in the aquatics department where she helps manage and sustain Southern California's native fish population. She also assists when needed in other departments, such as taking photos, assisting with educational field trips at the RCRCD centers, conducting soil tests, and helping other staff in the field. In addition to working at the RCRCD, Tawny is pursuing higher education. She hopes to use her degree to inspire others to share her passion of saving the environment and creating a sustainable future.
